LIFEsocal Mission

Historically, the abortion issue has been polarized by negativity and violence but we believe that should change. LIFEsocal is a pro-LIFE organization making a positive difference in Southern California.

We stand shoulder to shoulder with people from all different races and religions who believe that LIFE IS FOR EVERYONE. Together we strive to bring a new and vibrant awareness to being pro-LIFE. By hosting large family events, we rally regular people and inspire them to do something positive for LIFE. Our approach is pro-LIFE, positive and non-political; we invite people to pray, learn facts, support local pro-LIFE organizations of their choice, and do something positive for LIFE.

To give you an idea of our impact, walk4LIFE was held at the Rose Bowl on Sunday, March 27, 2011. More than 7,500 young people and families from across Southern California joined together in a spirited 3-mile walk around the Rose Bowl. Los Angeles Archbishop Jose Gomez led the charge, speaking to the crowd and offering a prayer as thousands walked in unity and solidarity. The event also featured many encouraging speakers, festival games for kids, food trucks and live music. walk4LIFE was a big success and it inspired us to dream bigger.

On Sunday, November 18, 2012, we held go2bat4LIFE at Dodger Stadium, and it was a resounding success! Once again, thousands of people came to hear from across Southern California and the country to show their support for LIFE. Los Angeles Archbishop Jose Gomez led a walk around Dodger Stadium before the crowds heard from Pro-LIFE speakers Walter Hoye II, Lila Rose, Eduardo Verástegui, Marion Jones, and Mauricio Kuri. They played carnival style games, sampled from more than a dozen food trucks, and rocked out to Lincoln Brewster and Christafari!

Christian Service 4LIFE

On Wednesday, October 9, 2013, we presented the first Christian Service 4LIFE event at the StubHub Center, in connection with the LA Archdiocesan Office of Life, Peace and Justice and Respect LIFE Week. This incredible field trip was a day for Junior High and High School students to explore their Christian duty to serve all human life.

Now in its 3rd year, Christian Service 4LIFE comes to the beautiful Galen Center located on the University of Southern California campus on Wednesday, November 4, 2015! Bring your school and join Archbishop José Gomez and more than 8,000 students! We'll enjoy music, activities, and food, and hear from exciting special guests. The event will also feature “A Path to Sainthood: the Life and Works of Dorothy Day." Plus, students will earn service hours for their attendance!
