For over twenty-three years, the Adopt-A-Family Program has made it possible for struggling families with children to have a magical Christmas and experience the Light of Christ. The program has assisted families in one of the poorest areas of our city, the Los Angeles Skid Row and downtown area. This year, the program will adopt 400 families from the Skid Row, which face unimaginable challenges on a daily basis.

Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles

Promoting a Deeper Spiritual Life through Healthcare, Education and Retreats

The way of life of the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles is rooted in the Gospel, the Church, and the spirituality of Carmel as lived out through the charism of our foundress, Venerable Mother Maria Luisa Josefa of the Most Blessed Sacrament. In His merciful goodness, God has graced our Institute with the Carmelite charism which has its foundation in a long history and living tradition.

Taking steps to save lives.

Crossroads is a Civil Rights organization that exists in order to help bring about a Culture of Life and defend the right to life of all unborn children. Because any such Culture of Life must take root in the youth of our society to truly flourish, Crossroads especially looks to involve and challenge young people to actively take part in bringing it about. By looking to Jesus and Mary as role models in prayer and sacrifice, and by understanding the value of suffering, we hope to convert hearts and minds and to save lives.

Habitat for Humanity

The overwhelming need for housing in our communities have provided Habitat For Humanity Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) with a unique opportunity to change lives in our neighborhoods. Los Angeles ranks as one of the least affordable housing areas in the U.S. and yet Habitat for Humanity is one of the few – if not only – affordable homeownership programs that serves families and individuals earning 30-80% of the median family income. Cost burden and overcrowding are the most serious problems experienced by very low-income area Southern California residents. Working with volunteers, families and individuals, corporations, congregations and donors we are able to tackle this important housing issue throughout greater Los Angeles.  We are dedicated to making homeownership possible for low-income, hardworking families and individuals.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.

Love and Art Children’s Foundation

Founded in 2003 by Brasilian artist Alécia de Menezes Seidler in Los Angeles, California, the Love & Art Children’s Foundation was born out of the desire to reach out to children in need and to offer them, through the arts, a way of expression, empowerment and hope. The foundation brings its unique art workshop program to underprivileged groups of children. Working with an artist, each child has the opportunity to create a large scale, mixed media work of art. Time, attention and care help the children open up and use their vivid imaginations. The resulting art collections are a vibrant testament to the spirit of creativity and youth.

USC Catholic Center and College Campus Ministry

Although USC was originally founded as a Methodist College, religion — and Catholicism in particular —has always been a major force on campus. Today, Catholic students represent over one-third of the student body accounting for over 10,000 Catholic students at USC, one of the largest populations of Roman Catholics at any university in the US, including Catholic universities such as Notre Dame. This large population of Catholic student bodies makes USC one of the most influential Catholic constituencies in the country.
